I had a sort of malfunction with my HR monitor whilst doing my strength training. I didn’t notice it folded up above my sports bra so it wasn’t measuring anything for a while. Ah well!

I decided to do a short Zumba class instead of a jog because I was already so sweaty from strength training I didn’t want to change into warmer workout clothes and head to the cold outside. It just seemed like too much work..lol I have a long circuit training workout scheduled for tomorrow so I will head for a jog on Thursday. I am actually going to do a hard workout on my fast day and I want to see how I feel during and after. From what I read you are supposed to feel fitter and have more endurance. Plus you supposedly burn more calories on an empty stomach. Win, win!
I also measured my resting heart rate – 64! quite shocked it’s so low. Apparently that’s a good thing. So my optimal workout HR is between 129-169. I will be keeping an eye on my HR from now on as I workout to make sure I’m always wedged in between those two numbers. Sometimes I go up to 180 or above so perhaps that isn’t a good idea. I’m not running from a bear after all..lol Which reminds me, I have to start using my zombie run app soon!
