I’ve been neglecting my progress page so I decided to take a picture today wearing a top I absolutely love but never really suited my body. The front is still a bit too open for my taste as I don’t like to have my girls on display but well as you can see it seems to hang better off my body now. So yay! I’ve lost 30 kilos since I began my journey-most of those happened in 2012 so I am now half way to my goal weight. I have another 30 kilos to lose in order to be at a reasonable, healthy weight for my height. I’m such a shortie that I really have to be around 54 kilos but I will settle for 60 at this point! Not going to get that picky really as long as I can maintain and continue to eat healthily and to improve my level of fitness.
This last year I have tried so many things. I have gone up and down, fallen and gotten up. The one thing I didn’t do was quit! I can’t imagine having spent another year as miserable as I was before. I have learned so much and one of the best things about this journey is that I have now recognized my own inner strength and how hard I can really work for my health and happiness. It was a wonderful year and I am so glad to see how far I’ve come. I hope that this year brings me to the end of my weight loss and into maintenance mode. That will be the start of another path for sure. Hope you are all having a wonderful start to your weekend!

You are looking great! I like the short hair too. And of course I have to comment on the girls…There is no reason to hide them…they don’t need to be displayed all the time but be proud and especially in this shirt because it looks great on you. Keep on not quitting!
Aw thanks! the hair is definitely a change..I find I am feeling a bit more confident about my body but I think the fat girl in me will forever want to hide in clothes. Thanks for your encouragement!
Kari!
You are looking fantastic and the shine from your eyes and smile on your face show that you are feeling better too. I’ve lost 45kg over 4 years and have maintained it for another 2 years. It’s not easy, but the difference in how I feel is amazing. I wish you continued success on your journey to a healthy weight.
Cheers,
Laura
thank you! and congrats to you too on your weight loss!
You look great!!!! The difference is amazing. Keep it up. =) FYI Jaime insists that we are more than sisters because of our resemblance…..we must be twins (dramatic music *dun dun dun dun*) lol
thanks hon! well if that is the case, you my dear, took your time in coming out of the womb! and you also pushed Ricky out before you too..lol must of been crowded in there
